Renewable Energy
Lisa’s Organics buys RECs from Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF). BEF is a national non-profit organization that helps companies and individuals reduce the effects climate change. RECS reduce the amount of carbon flowing into the atmosphere and help develop new renewable resources such as wind and solar. Each REC equals 1,000 kWh of clean energy going onto the electricity grid. As a nonprofit organization, BEF reinvests the "Profits" from REC sales into new renewable energy projects and watershed ecosystem restoration.
